Both courses are located in Bangkok’s wetlands, where more than 10,000 trees are home to over 100 species of birds and other wildlife. Many trees are planted around the course with lots of shade compared to other courses in Bangkok.
The course consists of four 9 hole courses that can be played moving around as you like. All courses are in excellent condition.
The Championship East Course consists of the courses A and B, while the Resort West Course consists of the courses C and D.
East Course is longer than the West Course and can appear more difficult. There is water at play on almost all holes on both courses.
If you can avoid the many lakes and ponds placed near the fairways and protecting the greens, you will be rewarded with wide fairways and a semi-rough that is not too dense.
As well as the nature and the layout, golfers will be thrilled about the Lam Luk Kas greens, which are among the very best in all of Bangkok.
When playing The Championship East Course, it is important to hit the ball long and straight, especially from the back tee. If you choose to play from the white tee instead, the course is a little easier.
A quality mark of the course is when it hosted the Thailand PGA Championship in 2002 and a qualifying tournament for the Asian Tour in 2009.
The 7th and 8th holes on the East Course are two long par 4 holes, among the best par 4 holes in Bangkok, usually played in headwind.
Bagni is considered one of the best 9 holes in Thailand, ending with a dramatic par 5 hole. You can walk away with anything from a birdie to a snowman. It is very important to hit the fairway in the drive with the option of reaching the green in regulation. Be aware of the deep bunkers protecting the greens in the first drive.
Lam Luk Ka Championship East Course has one of Thailand’s most challenging layouts. The shorter West Course is suitable for all levels of golfers, but it will still test the course management of any player.
The West Course is relatively short, but water is at play in all holes.
Each hole offers several options. The West Course is a favorite course among tourists and home to an abundance of birds and other wildlife.
The large clubhouse has all the facilities needed for a great day of golf.
After a round on Lam Luk Ka, you can relax, take a swim in the pool or enjoy a variety of Thai and international culinary delights in the clubhouse restaurant overlooking the 18th hole of the East Course.
The training facilities in this area include driving range, two chipping and putting greens.
Overall Lam Luk Ka is an excellent golf course and one of the better in Bangkok.
